Postural Optimising / Capacity for Movement

These classes aim to tackle the ‘Sedentary Posture’ and restricted positions that many of us fall into on a daily basis. 14hrs is the average time humans in a western society sit per day – we sit to work, eat, drive, watch tv, socialise etc… many actually sit for more than 14 hours a day! We sit WAY too much! This can lead to pain in our backs, necks and many parts of our body as well as causing organ dysfunction, gastrointestinal discomfort and a proven reduction in life expectancy… We spend over 50% of our time treating patients due to postural issues and weakness through disuse.

These classes are a hybrid between Pilates and resistance training – totally focused on counteracting the sitters position.
