What is it?
It’s bullet-proofing and enhancing the body for performance in Team sports.
These classes aim to prepare for and enhance pre-season performance by re-engaging and activating an athlete’s muscles after a period of rest and then improving physical performance throughout the season. There will be various aspects to these classes:
- Highlighting muscle imbalances and limitations in sports specific range of motion
- Strengthening and stabilising the sports specific musculature required
- Increasing power output and improving 10-40m sprint times as well as reactive speed
- Bullet-proofing areas prone to injury in these sports, such as hamstrings, groin muscles, calves and lower backs
Who is it for?
Team Sports Strength and Conditioning classes are for athletes who are wanting to improve their performance whilst reducing their risk of injury. This can be as part of preseason preparation and/or throughout the season. Although many athletes may benefit, it is specifically targeted for Football and Hockey players.
