Role: Osteopath
Kent-based Registered Osteopath and Sports Massage Therapist (with Dry Needling).
Katie is a registered Osteopath and Lecturer, based in Folkestone. Originally from Cheshire she moved to Kent during her studies and fell in love with the south coast.
During an appointment with Katie you will be assessed holistically, meaning not only the area of pain but also other areas of your body. Katie uses adjustments (*clicks*) to improve pain and movement, joint mobilisations, soft tissue releases and acupuncture. You can expect to receive stretches and rehabilitation exercises after treatment (where appropriate), as well as hands on treatment during your first session.
Katie enjoys treating people of all ages, including babies, children and pre and post-natal women. As a keen runner and powerlifter she also has a special interest in treating sports-related injury, and works with local and national teams and players across a variety of sports.
Outside the practice, Katie lectures in Osteopathy at two universities and organises the ’Slow AF’ Run and Hike clubs. She is also mum to Penny the puppy.
