Is Ankle or Foot Pain Slowing You Down?
Why painkillers are rarely the answer!
Most people who have experienced ankle pain tend to wake up one morning in more discomfort than when they went to sleep and therefore, understandably, think that the problem will go away just as quickly and that one morning they will wake up and get out of bed free of pain, able to be fully active again.
The problem is that ankle pain may be a result of multiple factors, which have combined over weeks, months or even years, the result of work stresses, sport stresses, etc. The morning you wake up with increased pain may just be the cumulation of these.
Nobody should lose their independence due to ankle pain!
The ankle is a complicated joint. It can be difficult to work out exactly why you are getting your pain, which often leads to confusing and contradictory advice.
Because of this, people understandably begin to accept their pain as just a part of life and resign themselves to the fact that they have no choice but to live with it.

The Ankle and Foot
The foot is comprised of 26 different bones – the feet make up nearly a quarter of all the bones in the body. As a result, movement of the ankle and foot involves 30 joints and 30 tendons of the lower leg. no wonder things go wrong!
The foot can be divided into 3 parts: the rear foot which is ankle bone and heel bone, the mid foot and the fore foot.
